Liquid Robotics and Ingenieros Electrónicos Asociados Partner to Provide Unmanned Systems and Solutions for Argentina and Uruguay

SUNNYVALE, CA, April 27, 2016

Liquid Robotics®, the leader in Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), today announced a new channel partnership with Ingenieros Electrónicos Asociados (IEA), one of Argentina’s trusted suppliers of oceanographic electronics and naval communications. This channel agreement enables IEA to sell, support, and service Liquid Robotics’ Wave Gliders® throughout Argentina and Uruguay. Wave Gliders are wave powered ocean robots that collect and communicate real-time ocean data without the need for fuel, while performing long-duration missions.

Key points of the agreement include:

  • IEA will provide sensor and technology integration, mission and deployment services, and technical support for Wave Glider customers in the military, Coast Guard, commercial, oceanographic and meteorological markets.
  • IEA can offer the Wave Glider to their existing customer base and new customers.
  • The partnership will focus on delivering cost-effective, unmanned solutions to address some of the most pressing national issues including maritime security, marine protected areas/exclusive economic zone protection, fisheries management, and oceanographic monitoring.

“Partnering with Liquid Robotics allows us to offer a ground breaking technology to our many loyal customers,” said Ing. Wendell Jones, Socio Gerente, Ingenieros Electrónicos Asociados. “The Wave Glider platform allows us to address and solve many more of our customers’ most challenging problems.”

Liquid Robotics continues expansion of their international presence and market growth through partnerships with industry leaders with technology, sales, and go-to-market local expertise. For South America, the distribution partners currently include: Innervycs (Chile) and CI2 (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama and Venezuela).

“Liquid Robotics is honored to enter this agreement with IEA, an industry leader throughout Argentina and Uruguay,” said Daniel J. Middleton, Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Liquid Robotics. “Through this partnership, we now have the ability to deliver solutions using the Wave Glider platform to provide persistent, real-time ocean data, while reducing the cost and risk associated with maritime operations.”
